This is a Great, Rare, Early 1909 8th New York Infantry military "Annual Muster Roll of Field and Staff" document
. This wonderful Old piece has a Great, Early look, features the names & information of dozens of soldiers is Hand-Signed by Colonel Elmor F. Austin & General Nathaniel Blunt Thurston, measures approx. 12" x 9.5" open, has 8 pages,
is an Original, Vintage piece and Rare to Find.
General Nathaniel Blunt Thurston
: in addition to being a Military General, Thurston was also the Deputy Commissioner of the New York Police Department and a Chief in the Fire Department of New York.
Washington Greys
: The 8th New York Infantry, also known as the "Washington Greys", was stationed out of New York City and served in the Civil War and Spanish-American War. During WWI, they became the 8th Coast Defense Command and protected NYC's harbors, as part of the US Army Coastal Artillery Corps.
This appears to be in Very Good, Solid condition.
