Announcing the 2021 Street Sign & More Auction To Benefit Wildwood Historical Museum
The Wildwood Historical Society is excited to offer more than 70 authentic signs: street signs from the City of Wildwood plus neon signs from the Tom Cat Diner! The city has been replacing its old signs and very generously passing the old ones on to us as a fundraiser for our nonprofit's mission of preserving Wildwoods? history. The owner of the parcel that was once the Tom Cat generously donated the authentic neon signs that hung in the windows.
This eBay auction event will run from June-August 2021, and every day a different sign will be posted for a seven-day duration auction. On Saturdays and Sundays, two signs will be listed. Below is a list of signs with starting prices and dates you can find them on our
    eBay page
-- be sure to mark your calendar for the signs you want. Please follow our eBay store "wildwoodhistoricalsociety1963" and also read our FAQ below!
Signs listed as ?AVES? will be sold with both street intersections attached with the original hardware. ?AVE? signs are only one street, and are perfect for hanging on walls. No reserves.

    Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have signs for North Wildwood, Wildwood Crest or West Wildwood?
No, we only have SELECT signs from the City of Wildwood. See the list above for what's available.
Do you have signs that aren't listed above?
No, all the signs we have are listed above. We have done a thorough inventory and know exactly what we have. If it's not listed, we don't have it.
Will more signs be available in the future?
It is possible, but we don't know for sure. We also don't know what signs the city still plans to replace. The new signs are green and the old ones are white.
Are the signs authentic? How old are they?
Yes, all the signs are authentic and stood at intersections for at least 20 years. We don't know exactly what year they were put up.
Who makes money from these signs?
Only the Wildwood Historical Society profits from the signs. One hundred percent of the proceeds go to maintaining our history museum and keeping our doors open. The city does not make money from this fundraiser.
    Can you ship my order?
Pickup at our museum is preferred. Our hours and address are listed at the bottom of our website. Because these signs are fairly large, it is very expensive and difficult to ship them. If pickup isn't an option, we reserve the right to delay shipping until we find a box that your sign will fit in. It may take over a week to ship.
