    This is what I believe to be a
    Pre WW1 MILLS U.S. NAVY .38 Cal. Colt Revolver Canvas Holster.
    I am not an expert and this is what I concluded upon some internet research and the stories of the previous owner.  But please use your judgement based on the pictures.
    Marked - Mills Woven Cartridge Belt Co. Sole Maker - On back.
    For sale is what I believe to be an incredibly Rare US Navy Mills canvas holster made for the Colt revolver.
    This is in the US Navy Tan canvas, with the metal endcap.
    Original US Navy eagle and anchor button attached, and snap functions well.
    Canvas is supple and in good shape with some holes and wear as shown.
    Rear belt attachment is intact and marked Mills Woven Cartridge Belt Co. Sole Maker.
    All rivets are tight and in great shape.
    Holster has what looks like some period modification / restitching done, with an approx 2″ triangle of canvas folded over and stitched in tan thread as shown.
    The holster displays wonderfully, with a true 100+ years of Patina.
    The previous owner indicated that the original owner/user had used this in WW1.
