    Description

    Anniversary banknote for collection,
    with a face value of 100 lei, with the theme Consummation of the Great Union - Ion I.C.
    Brătianu, is included in a presentation leaflet.
    Condition : Uncirculated
    Dimensions of the banknote are 147 x 82 millimeters.
    The circulation for this numismatic issue is 30,000 banknotes.
    On the obverse of the banknote are the following representative graphic elements: on the right, in the foreground, the portrait of Ion I.C. Brătianu, below, his name and years of life, respectively „ION I.C. BRĂTIANU 1864-1927 ”, and in the center, an image of the plaque of the Order of Carol I, order that Ion I.C. Brătianu received it in 1922. In the background, in the central area, there is an interior image of the Romanian Athenaeum.
    Also on the obverse are printed: the coat of arms of Romania, the name of the central bank "BANCA NAȚIONALĂ A ROMÂNIEI" and the medallion with the BNR logo. The face value is written four times, as follows: bottom left horizontally, in numbers, "100", center, bottom, horizontally, in two rows, in letters, "LEI ONE HUNDRED", bottom right vertically, in letters "ONE HUNDRED LEI" and in the upper right vertically, in numbers, "100".
    In the central part, top left, is the medallion with the overlapping element, representing a stylization of a skylight on the inner dome of the Romanian Athenaeum.
    The signatures of the governor and the central cashier are printed in the central part, above the face value in letters.
    The date of circulation, respectively "December 1, 2019", is printed vertically, to the right of the banknote.
    On the background of the banknote, stylized geometric motifs are printed in attenuated colors.
    On the reverse of the banknote, the graphic composition includes: on the left, a vintage image of the former palace of the Assembly of Deputies of the Romanian Parliament, currently the Patriarchate Palace and, centrally, an image of the reverse of the Carol I Order insignia.
    At the bottom of the banknote is printed horizontally, on two lines, the text: "THE COUNTERFEITING OF THESE TICKETS IS PUNISHED ACCORDING TO THE LAWS".
    Above, horizontally, is the name of the central bank, "NATIONAL BANK OF ROMANIA", and the BNR logo is positioned on the top right and on the bottom left.
    In the central part, top right, is the medallion with the overlapping element, representing a stylization of a skylight on the inner dome of the Romanian Athenaeum.
    The face value is printed as follows: vertically top left and bottom center, in numbers, "100", horizontally, top left, in the series area and bottom right, also in numbers, "100", and bottom left , in letters, "ONE HUNDRED LEI".
    On the background of the banknote are printed, in attenuated colors, stylized geometric motifs.
    The series and number of the banknote are printed in letters and numbers, in two colors, red and black, as follows: on the left horizontally, in red ink, in ascending characters and on the right vertically, in black ink and characters of the same height.

    Security features visible on both sides of the banknote, included in the polymer substrate:
    a.
    complex transparent vertical window containing:
    - in the center, the portrait of Ion I.C. Brătianu made in multiton technique;
    - in the upper part, a graphic representation of the reverse of the insignia of the Order of Carol I, which has in the middle an element visible only to the eye against a point source of light;
    - around the central area, as well as at the top and bottom of the transparent window, graphic elements made with optically variable ink (blue-green), which change color depending on the angle from which they are viewed;
    b
    . watermark, representing a fragment of the Carol I Order plate and the BNR logo, visible when the banknote is illuminated on the opposite side of the viewer;
    c.
    magnetic safety wire, which includes in negative the microtext "ROMANIA 100", readable from four different directions;
    In addition, visible only on the reverse, there are graphic elements of different sizes made with iridescent blue ink, which contain in the negative the nominal value "100".
    2.
    Security features added by printing:
    a.
    embossing, detectable by palpation:
    - on the obverse of the banknote, the portrait of Ion I.C. Brătianu, the coat of arms of Romania, the image of the Carol I Order plaque, the name of the central bank “NATIONAL BANK OF ROMANIA”, the medallion with the BNR logo, the face value in numbers and letters, the embossed element “100” in the transparent window and the two-line text ”, Printed with ink that changes color from gold to green when the banknote is viewed from different angles;
    - on the reverse of the banknote, the former palace of the Assembly of Deputies of the Romanian Parliament, currently the Patriarchate Palace, the image of the reverse of the Carol I Order, the name of the central bank "NATIONAL BANK OF ROMANIA", BNR logo, rectangle with BNR logo top left and horizontal to the bottom right and in letters horizontally, bottom left and the text "COUNTERFEITING OF THESE TICKETS IS PUNISHED ACCORDING TO THE LAWS";
    b.
    latent image: on the reverse of the banknote, the inscription "BNR" on the image of the former palace of the Assembly of Deputies of the Romanian Parliament, currently the Patriarchate Palace, above the entrance doors, visible when the banknote is viewed from different angles;
    c.
    obverse-reverse overlapping element: a stylization of a skylight on the inner dome of the Romanian Athenaeum. The overlap is made when the banknote is lit from the opposite side of the viewer;
    -  laser microperforations: nominal value '100' located in the central area, in the vertical direction;
    - anti-scan and anti-copy line: on the free areas on the left and right, on both sides of the banknote;
    - secure design with flat print in iris: on the obverse, up in the center, and on the reverse, down in the center.
    On both the obverse and the reverse of the banknote there are, in addition, security elements added by printing, detectable with special equipment, respectively:
    a.
    microtext printed plan:
    - on the obverse: “BNR”, below and above the left half of the portrait of Ion I.C. Bratianu;
    - on the reverse: "BNR" printed in negative, in the stylized medallion.
    b.
    embossed microtext:
    - on the obverse: “BANCA NATIONALA A ROMANIEI”, above the text with the name of the central issuing bank and “BNR” inside the figures representing the nominal value, in the lower left;
    - on the reverse: "BNR" in the rectangle on the left and in the figures representing the face value on the right.
    c.
    printing with ink visible in ultraviolet light on the reverse:
    - stamp image with the face value of the banknote in figures, on the left, on the horizontal "100", with yellow-green luminescence in ultraviolet light;
    - banknote series and number on the left, horizontally, in red, with orange luminescence in ultraviolet light and on the right, vertically, in black, showing yellow-green luminescence in ultraviolet light;
    d.
    magnetism: the series and number of the banknote printed in black ink.
